How to choose the right GCC grade
The right calcium carbonate grade depends on three factors: your industry, the specific application within that industry, and the performance level required. For paint, finish level (matte, satin, semi-gloss, or high-gloss) is the most important determinant — coarser grades reduce gloss and are unsuitable for sheen finishes above eggshell.
For rubber and PVC, particle size affects surface finish, tensile strength, and processing behaviour. For paper, the distinction between filling and coating grades is critical — coating grades require much finer particle size distributions.
